In order to carry out the intention of setting up the Year of Nepal-China Friendly Exchanges, which reached by the two governments, when the Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao visited in Nepal in the beginning of this year, at the invitation of World Culture Net in Nepal, the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) organized a 18-person delegation formed by officers, specialists, scholars and entrepreneurs from Tibet, Shaanxi, Qinghai, to attend 2012 Nepal-China Friendship Week from Nov.30th to Dec.6th. H.E. Parmanand Jha, Vice-president of Nepal delivered a speech in the opening ceremony.  

At the invitation of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), Gabriela Montano Viana, the Speaker of the Senate of Bolivia visited China from Dec. 2nd to 4th. Wu Bangguo positively evaluated the relations between China and Bolivia. He said, since the diplomatic relations between the two countries established 27 years ago, China-Bolivia relations had achieved further development under the efforts of both sides. The friendly contacts between the governments, parliaments, political parties and people were closer; the political mutual trust was deepened continuously; both sides understood and supported each other on issues deeply concerned; the cooperation in economy and trade was enlarged from simple trading cooperation to satellite fabrication, mineral resource exploration, and other circles; the exchanges in culture, education, science and technology was productive; both sides kept close communication and coordination in international affairs. China and Bolivia were good friends based on sincerity and mutual trust, and also partners on mutual benefit and cooperation. Deepening China-Bolivia relations was in line with the fundamental interests of the two peoples. China would like to work with Bolivia, to develop the China-Bolivia relation better and bring benefit to two peoples. Montano said, Bolivia and China were far in distance, but Bolivia was always paying great attention to its friend China’s development and progress. At present, Bolivia was actively pushing forward reform of politics, economy and society, and focusing on developing economy and improving the people’s livelihood. Bolivia urgently hoped to utilize China’s experience especially the helpful methods on developing market economy, strengthen  macro-economic control and upholding social fair and justice. Bolivia would like to deepen the mutual beneficial cooperation with China in all circles, to make the relations between to two countries reach a new stage. Wu Bangguo said, China constantly advocated that, the people’s right of choosing social system and road for development should be respected and protected. China understood and supported the Bolivian people’s efforts on actively exploring the road for development in accordance of the condition of their own country. The Chinese NPC would like to enhance the friendly contact with the Bolivian Parliament, and exchange experience with Bolivia in managing state and political affairs, constructing democracy and legal system. Both sides should have in-depth discussion on common concerned issues and increase new content and vitality for the relation of the two countries. 

On November 30, 2012, Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) and China-Arab Friendship Association held a reception in Bridge Art Center (Arabian Information Center), marking the International Day of Solidarity with Palestinian People and China-Arab Friendship Day. H. E. Mr. Abdul’ahat Abdurixit, Vice Chairman of National Committee of Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, H. E. Mr. Cheng Guoping, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, H. E. Mr. Jing Dunquan, Vice President of CPAFFC, H. E. Mr. Abdullah Saleh Al Saadi, Deputy Dean of Arab Missions in Beijing and Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to China, H. E. Mr.Ahmed Ramadan, Ambassador of the State of Palestine to China, Mr. Ahemd Mustafa Hafez，Deputy Head of League of Arab States Beijing Mission, guests from the International Department of CPC Central committee, Ministry of Culture, All-China Youth Federation , All-China Women Federation and council members of the Chinese-Arab Friendship Association, central and local media friends, all the diplomats of the Palestinian embassy, ambassadors from other countries, representatives of League of Arab States Beijing Mission, Palestinian nationals including students and Arab media representatives in Beijing all attended the reception, with the amount of attendees around 300. Vice President Jing Dunquan, Ambassador Abdullah Saleh Al Saadi, Ambassador Ahmed Ramadan and Mr. Ahemd Mustafa Hafez, all gave the speeches during the reception. Mr. Jing Dunquan said that on November 29, the 67th General Assembly voted to grant Palestine non-member Observer State Status at the United Nations, which is a significant step forward of Palestine on its way of establishing an independent state and reflects wider support from the international community for Palestinian people’s struggle of justice in restoring their legitimate rights and interests. China expressed its warm congratulations on its success. In the year of 2006, the first China-Arab Friendship Conference declared the day of November 29 as China-Arab Friendship Day. In the future, we will always support Palestinian and Arab people, and spare no efforts to assist to solve the Middle East issue in a comprehensive and just way at an early date. Ambassador Abdullah Saleh Al Saadi, Ambassador Ahmed Ramadan and Mr. Ahemd Mustafa Hafez all expressed their congratulations on Palestine’s success of being granted as the Observer State in the United Nations, and appreciated the firm support of Chinese government to the just cause of Palestinian People.

On Nov.30th, 2012, the Opening Ceremony of International Comic & Animation Convention (Beijing 2012) (ICAC) jointly sponsored by Ministry of Culture of China, People’s Government of Beijing and the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC)，undertaken by China Wisdom Engineering Association, Time Horizon International Culture (Beijing) Co.,Ltd and Beijing Golden-Crab Communications Co., Ltd. was held at Beijing Xiedao International Conference and Exhibition Center. Ismail Amat, the vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of National People’s Congress, Li Meng, the vice-chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, Dong Wei, Vice Minister of Culture, Zhang Wenhua, the party secretary of Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture, Han Guangming, the deputy secretary-general of the CPAFFC were present. ICAC is the largest-sized comic and animation-themed event in Beijing which serves for domestic and foreign enterprises and practitioners of the animation industry, as well as anime fans, and aiming at being the first-class domestically, and renowned internationally animation themed activity with government’s support and our specialized, brand-oriented and internationalized effort. Hundreds of animation enterprises from US, Japan, France and R.O. Korea are invited to the convention. ICAC cooperates with the most authoritative and effective professional awards institution “Chinese Institute Awards” to collect and award the cartoon works, cartoon short movies of the cartoon institutes of the whole country and set up the Chinese cosplay performance awards for the first time.

The Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) and The Embassy to China of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg jointly held the reception celebrating 40th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between China and Luxembourg. Chen Changzhi, the vice-chairman of Standing Committee of National People’s Congress and His Highness Prince Guillaume, Hereditary Grand Duke of Luxembourg were present and delivered speeches. More than 200 people from China and Luxembourg attended the reception. Vice Chairman Chen Changzhi said in his speech, since the diplomatic relations between China and Luxembourg established 40 years ago, the both sides had been respecting each other and treating each other equally, so that the relations between the two countries had achieved tremendous development. Luxembourg was always upholding One-China policy. We highly praised Luxembourg for understanding and supporting the Chinese stand on issues related to the territory and sovereignty of China. China paid great attention on developing the relations with Luxembourg. We’d like to cooperate with Luxembourg and take 40th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations of the two countries as an opportunity, to further deepen the political mutual trust, keep high-level and all-level contacts, strive for enhancing the bilateral trading and mutual investing level, closer the cultural exchange of humanity, energize the bilateral relations and promote China-Luxembourg relation to obtain further development continuously.  Chen Changzhi and His Highness Guillaume unveiled the commemorative envelop for 40th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between China and Luxembourg. Chen Changzhi also presented His Highness Guillaume the commemorative album. Song Tao, the Chinese Vice Foreign Minister, Li Jianping, the vice president of the CPAFFC, Princess Stephanie, the Wife of the Hereditary Grand-Duke,  Etienne Schneider, the Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade of Luxembourg, all the members of the economic and trading delegation visiting China, Krieger Carlo, the Ambassador to China of Luxembourg attended the above events.

The reception celebrating the founding of 2012-2017 council and the 60th Anniversary of the establishment of China-India Friendship Association CIFA) was held in Beijing On November 23th. Jiang Zhenghua, the former vice chairman of the standing committee of the National People’s Congress (NPC) and the president of CIFA, Feng Zuoku, the vice president of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), Lin Yi, the secretary-general of the CPAFFC, Cheng Hong, the deputy chief editor of China Central Television (CCTV), Han Fangming, the deputy director of Committee of Foreign Affairs of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) were present.   In the conference, the last 5 years’ work of CIFA was summarized; the 2012-2017 executive Council members of CIFA were selected in the conference. The council members proposed their concrete opinions and suggestions on promoting the people-to-people friendship between the two countries and how CIFA carrying out its work better.   On behalf of the executive council of CIFA, President Jiang Zhenghua addressed the celebrating reception and unveiled the commemorative envelop of 60th Anniversary of establishment of CIFA with Arun Kumar Sahu, the Charge D’Affairs of Indian Embassy in China. In the reception, a slide show about CIFA’s history was presented. The music, dancing and yoga performed by the council members of CIFA foiled a warm and friendly atmosphere for the reception.

On November 20th, the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) and the Royal Netherlands Embassy jointly hosted the reception marking the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the Netherlands at the Peace Palace of CPAFFC. Mr. Xie Hangsheng, Vice Foreign Minister attended the reception. Mr. Li Jianping, Vice President of CPAFFC and Mr. Aart Jacob, Ambassdor of the Netherlands attended the reception and delivered speeches. Mr. Li said in his speech that, despite of several ups and downs, the past 40 years of diplomatic relations between China and the Netherlands maintained steady with frequent high-level exchanges and enhanced political mutual trust. Economic interests increasingly blended. Great achievements have been made on local cooperation and people-to-people friendship. we will continue to strengthen people-to-people friendship, enhance the mutual trust between our two peoples and strive for a better future between China and the Netherlands. Mr. Jacob said in his speech that, the relationship between China and the Netherlands dated long back into history. We kept frequent high-level contacts. In the Netherlands, a new government has just been inaugurated, and in China new leaders were about to take their places as well. In the near future we will see more visits between our two countries, and cooperation will develop in every sectors. The reception enjoyed a rich content with various forms. Photo exhibition and concert showed to the audience the history of bilateral relations, the cooperations and profound friendship. The reception invited the representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the International Department of CPC, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Agriculture, the State Food and Drug Administration, Beijing Foreign Affairs Office, Hebei Foreign Affairs Office, Bank of Beijing, and Dutch friends from Internationale Nederlanden Group, RABO Bank Netherlands, Philips, Shell China and Van Gogh Musemu and so on. Around 100 guests attended the reception.

On November 2, 2012, the celebration of 55th Anniversary of the establishment of Russia-China Friendship Association (RCFA) jointly organized by the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) and China-Russia Friendship Association (CRFA) was successfully held at Peace Palace in the CPAFFC. Chen Haosu, the president of CRFA, Liu Shu, the former president of China Association for Science and Technology and adviser of CRFA, the descendants of revolution elders such as Li Min, the daughter of Chaiman Mao Zedong, the RCFA delegation headed by M.L. Titarenko, the president of RCFA, S.S.Razov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to China, the representatives of envoys of the Russian Embassy in China and representatives of capital media were present. President Chen Haosu, Adviser Liu Shu, President Titarenko, Ambassador Razov and other present guests delivered speeches respectively at the gathering. The guests recalled the 55 years history of RCFA and spoke highly about the outstanding contributions of  Russian friendly-to-China personages made with Titarenko as President of the Association, for furthering the people’s understanding and traditional friendship of USSR and China. In his speech, President Titarenko appreciated for the positive evaluation given to RCFA for its work. He said, RCFA would dedicate to further deepening the relations and the people’s friendship between two countries. The first vice president of RCFA G.V.Kulikova introduced her new work, Russia and China: People-to-people diplomatic, at the conference. A reception was followed after the gathering.

On November 2nd, vice president Li Jianping of the CPAFFC attended the launching ceremony of the art education program which financed by the Korean CJ Group and aiming for supporting the school of migrant workers’ descendants, in Yuzhu School, Changping district, Beijing. Park Keun-Tae, the chairman of CJ Group China Headquarter, Zhou Ling, the director of Foreign Affairs Office of Changping District, Han Wenyong, the deputy director of Education Commission of Changping District were present. Ahn Chi-Hyun, the Korean well known performing artist rehearsed with the students of Yuzhu school and cut the ribbon for the launching ceremony. At the launching ceremony, Vice President Li Jianping appreciated the donation from CJ Group, he said, at the moment of 20th anniversary of establishment of China-ROK diplomatic relations, this philanthropic by CJ Group would not only bring dreams and hope to the children, but would also enlarge the exchanges and cooperation between the two countries. He hoped this event would be an opportunity to appeal more enterprises with social responsibility and kind-hearted personnel to take part in public Charities.

At the invitation of Korea Foundation and Korea-China Youth Cultural Association (known as Future Forest), the second 2012 China-ROK Young Friendship Ambassador Delegation headed by Qi Jianguo, the adviser of China-ROK Friendship Association and former Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam, visited R.O. Korea from Oct.,22 to 30. The delegation which formed by 150 outstanding students from the universities of Beijing, Henan, Qinghai, Zhejing and Shaanxi visited Seoul, Chonju, Kunsan, Taego, Busan and Cheju. The visit of the delegation is to implement the consensus on further enlarging the scale of invitation for youths, which was reached by the presidents of both countries when the Chinese President Hu Jintao visited R.O. Korea in 2008. This delegation is one of the exchanging visits for China-ROK youths which jointly sponsored by the CPAFFC and the Korean Foundation, undertaken by Future Forest. This year is the 20th Anniversary of the establishment of China-ROK diplomatic relations and Year of China-ROK Friendly Exchanges. The visit of the delegation has special significance. On Oct.,23th, the delegation members and the Korean youth representatives as well concurrently visiting Beijing Youth Federation delegation members totaled more than 300 people attended activity celebrating Day of China-ROK Youths’ Friendship and the welcome banquet. During the visit in Korea, the delegation gave audience to the introduction of the development of China-Korean relations by Park Joon-Young, the Director General of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and Park Byeong-gwangthe, the resercher of Asan Institute for Policy Studies. The delegation also visited Saemengeum Gunsan Free Economic Zone, Daegu Palgongsan and Jeju Seongsan Sunrise Peak. Through these activities, the delegates obtained not only certain understandings in Korean political, economic and cultural background, but also got to know more in a direct way of the connotation and significance of China-ROK friendship.
